Bob Zehr has been a visionary leader at St. Luke's for nearly three decades. It was his dream and skills that led to the creation of the St. Luke's Orchestra, which has become one of the most popular elements of worship.
Bob's involvement in music has deep roots. He co-founded Beef and Board Dinner Theater with his long-time friend Doug Stark, where he was involved in all aspects of that successful Indianapolis business. Upon retiring from Beef and Boards, Bob worked at St. Luke's as Director of Development before returning to his entrepreneurial roots as the current owner of The Mansion at Oak Hill. Since leaving the St. Luke's staff, however, Bob has continued to help lead capital campaigns, and has brought his years of experience and expertise to play as co-lay leader and a member of the Governing Board. He somehow manages to do all this while being out of town as much as possible.
Bob and his wife Sharon have been members of St. Luke's since 1981. Both are active members of the Chancel Choir and have participated in and led many efforts. They are the parents of three grown children -- Jennifer, Jason and Joey -- and their first grandchild, Jonah.
