In 2000, Lori came on the St. Luke's staff as Editor of the church’s magazine, the Communion, which was retooled in 2009 as the quarterly T.I.M.E., Together In Ministry Everyday magazine.  She has interviewed dozens of members and leaders of the church and community and has written the feature articles for this piece, in addition to editing for content and conceptualizing cover art.

Lori eventually became the full-time Director of Communications and Marketing, with Development responsibilities as well.  On any given day, Lori can be found creating printed publications, connecting with the media, working on fundraising materials, trying to keep up with this website or wrestling with that holy grail of all printed materials, the weekly Sunday bulletin.  Her popularity in that regard swings wildly from week to week.

In 2004, Lori was part of a documentary team that traveled to Eldoret, Kenya to film the work being done by the IU/Kenya partnership in the battle against AIDS.  A one-hour documentary was created from that trip; entitled "The Power of One In Kenya:  Into the Heart of Hope," it went on to win a regional Emmy award.  Lori was the Writer and Creative Director of that project.  Lori is an avid runner who has completed three marathons.  She trains for this by keeping up with her two teenage sons.
