Mary Katherine Schnitz is the Director of the Member Care Team. She also serves on the Program Team, Lead Team, and Caring Churches Board of Directors. Her greatest joy comes in working with St. Luke's members. She loves visiting nursing homes, hospitals, and her work with Stephen Ministry. Mary Katherine also works with families after a death, helping them plan and organize a funeral or memorial service. She finds her work "very rewarding. I always get more than I give." MK also oversees membership classes and involvement.

She and her husband, Gary, have been members of St. Luke's since 1990. They have two children, Brian and Megan. Gary and MK have known each other all their lives, growing up in the same small town in southern Illinois.
