Travel in 2013

St. Luke's is offering two opportunities to travel abroad in 2013. For details, click on the title above. Contact Bob Zehr at rdzehr@oakhillmansion.com with questions. Approximate cost for each trip is $3000/person (double occupancy) which includes round-trip airfare, local transportation, four-star hotels, daily breakfasts and some additional meals.

August 20-28:  Normandy and Paris with Dr. Carver and Marianne McGriff.  This trip is sold out.  Former St. Luke's senior pastor Dr. McGriff will lead a group through the historical sites of the Normandy Invasion.  Stay for five nights in Bayeux, France and visit Utah and Omaha Beaches, as well as very personal locations where Dr. McGriff served following the invasion, including where he was wounded in an artillery attack.  End the visit with a meaningful stop at the American and the German cemeteries.  Also included is a visit to Mon-Saint-Michel and Giverny, to vist Monet's home and gardens, and will conclude with two nights in Paris.

September 16-25:  Holy Land with Rob and Susan Fuquay.  Visit the historical and spiritual sites of the Holy Land with our senior pastor Rob Fuquay providing the context and spiritual leadership.  Visit Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee, stop at the Mount of the Beatitudes and then travel down the Jordan River to the Dead Sea, stopping at Masada.  On the way to Jerusalem, stop at Qum Rum and spend a day in Bethlehem, visit the Garden of Gethsemene, Wailing Wall, the Via Delorosa, the Holy Church of the Sepulcher and end the week at the traditional site of the Garden Tomb.
