Columbarium

In the beginning God created in a garden……

St. Luke’s Columbarium and Memorial Garden now available. Members of St. Luke’s now have an opportunity to provide a “church home” for their earthly remains. The new St. Luke’s Memorial Gardens and Columbarium will be available for use in the Spring of 2000 and will allow parishioners to rest next to the spiritual home they loved in life or to honor loved ones with an engraved bronze plaque.

The Memorial Garden, located between the main entrance of St. Luke’s and the entrance to the Prayer Chapel, will be a place for us to find the beauty of God’s presence in our lives sitting there quietly, as well as remembering with thanks those who have gone before.

Biographical information regarding each person remembered there is entered into a permanent record book available to descendants and friends. Plaques are displayed on walls within the garden and niches holding one or two urns have an exterior panel with appropriate names and dates inscribed. The Memorial Garden has 192 niches available (each for one or two urns) and room for 100 memorial plaques.
