Facilities

The church sanctuary (or chapel) and dressing facilities will be available to your wedding party on your wedding day for a period of 4 hours, beginning 2 hours prior to the ceremony.  This four-hour period of time allows time for dressing, floral decorating, photography, the ceremony and the greeting of guests. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter so that other wedding parties may have ample time for the same activities.

Please inform your wedding party and guests that St.Luke’s does not permit smoking or the use of alcohol in the church

Florist/Candles/Decorations/Equipment

It is important for your florist to know you are guaranteed 4 hours for the use of the church. Therefore, they may arrive 2 hours prior to the ceremony to decorate. If the church is already decorated for a special event such as Christmas or Easter, please plan to adapt your decorations to the existing church décor. Bows and/or floral arrangements cannot be taped or glued to the pews. These are to be placed over the top of the pew by plastic brackets, ribbon, rubber bands, pipe cleaners or pins. Immediately following the wedding ceremony, all decorations brought into the sanctuary are to be removed from the church by the wedding party.

Aisle runners may be used and are usually supplied by the couple. The aisle length for a Chapel wedding is 75 ft and 100 ft for the Sanctuary.

Unity candles, candle tapers and candle holders are to be supplied by the couple; however, the church supplies two seven-branch candelabras for each side of the alter, including the candles.

Aisleabras are permitted. These must be freestanding aislebras encased in hurricane lamps (not clamped to or affixed to the pews in any way.) Please find a friend or family member(s) to help set up and tear down the aislebras before and after the ceremony.
