Bible Studies
From long-term, in-depth courses like the Disciple program to short-term classes for the Biblically Challenged, there is a Bible Study to fit your interests and schedule.
Book Discussions
Read and discuss religious and/or secular books in a variety of book groups at St. Luke's.
Christian Beliefs
Theological questions can often be complex. Get the answers, or at least some great insight, from pastors, professors and authors who are experts in various fields of Christianity and the church.
Church History
Why is green the color of Epiphany... and what is Epiphany anyway? Why do we say "trespassers" but other churches say "debtors?" These classes give you the opportunity to more fully understand and appreciate the symbolism and traditions that surround us in worship.
Ethics/Justice
At St. Luke's, we talk about being a more compassionate, just, inclusive, Christ-like community. Find out how ethics and justice play an important role in our faith.
Faith Learning Initiative
The Faith Learning Initiative is a cooperative learning endeavor of St. Luke's, Christian Theological Seminary, and other local churches, synagogues and mosques. As our global communities become ever more interconnected, we believe it is increasingly important that we understand and embrace other faiths, as we would ask the same for ours.
Guest Speakers
From time to time, special guest speakers are featured at St. Luke's, and often centered around a recent book or Bible study. Check the Special Events section for more information.
Inter-Faith Conversations
Through honest, educational and relaxed classes like the recent "What Jews and Christians Should Know About Each Other" series with Congregation Beth-El Zedeck, St. Luke's gives the community opportunities to understand the religions of our friends, co-workers and neighbors and to be better informed citizens of our increasingly global world.
Marriage and Family
Pre-marriage seminars, marriage enrichment, parenting classes — we have something for every stage of these changing (and often challenging!) life situations.
Personal/Spiritual Growth
While at some point all of us stopped growing physically, our personal and spiritual growth are ongoing journeys. Adult Ministries provides workshops and courses where you can ask the hard questions and gain deeper insights into this fascinating experience we call life.
Sunday Morning Classes
Meet with other adults of a similar life situation, or with similar interests, in Sunday morning classes occurring before and after the 9:30AM worship service.
Travel Opportunities
Biblical-themed travel opportunities arise from time to time. Past trips have included Turkey, Israel, Scotland, England and more. These trips are wonderful opportunities to experience our faith history, and to meet other adventurous and curious travelers!
