SUNDAY MORNINGS

Sr. High Wake Up with Starbucks @ the Lodge, 9:30-10:30 - doors open at 9am. 

This Sunday morning group always has fresh-brewed coffee, donuts, and great discussion about hot topics and how our faith applies to them.

Sr. High Wake Up @ the Big House, 9:30-10:30am - doors open at 9am. 

This meets rooms N103/104 in main church building (in the Lodge Cafe for September).  This second Sr. High option will begin meeting in the Lodge Cafe, then will split off to dig deeper into faith discussions about character, leadership, and discipleship.  Students who are hungry for further discussion are encouraged to give this group a shot and share their thoughts, ideas, and questions.

Sunday Evenings

LIVE! @ the Lodge, 6-7:30pm - doors open at 5:30pm. 

Each week's meeting will include:

• Plenty of hangout/welcoming/gathering time
• An icebreaker-type activity to get things started as a group
• Worship with "abandon," our live youth band
• A short message from an adult leader or student volunteer
• Application points for breakout discussion and activity groups
• Closing time together as a group for prayer and sendoff

Breakout groups will be based on common interests, and students can choose to go to whichever breakout group they want each week.  Ideas for breakout groups include a sports group meeting in the gym which will include sports a short discussion of the message, a coffee and conversation group that will meet in the Cafe to discuss the message, and an art expression group that will focus on different ways to express their interpretation of the message and its meaning through artistic mediums.  Suggestions for other interests and ideas are welcome!

UPCOMING CALENDAR

February 17-19, 2012 // Sr. High Winter Ski Retreat.  This is one of our students' favorite events of the year!  Cabins, campfires in the snow, and skiing!  We will be staying at Pretty Lake Vacation Camp in Kalamazoo, Michigan in winterized/heated cabins. On Saturday, we will go skiing, snowboarding, or snow tubing at Timber Ridge Ski Lodge close by. The weekend is packed with snow activities, cards, games, fellowship, worship... it's gonna be great! We will meet at the Lodge at 5:30pm sharp on Friday, Feb. 17 and return in the evening on Sunday, February 19.  Total cost will be $113 for snow tubing, $131 for skiing, $141 for snowboarding.  $50 deposit due January 29.  Friends are welcome!  Sign up online by clicking here!
 

Mission Trip to New Orleans, Louisianna - June 23-29, 2012.  $550 per student.  Includes experiencing the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.  A parent informational meeting is Sunday, NOV 13 from 5-5:45pm.  Click here to sign up!
