90 IN 90
You are invited to focus on a particular issue of human struggle and social concern, extending a compelling call to each of us to be involved in opportunities of learning, service, and advocacy. Roundtable discussions, mystery trips, and other experiences facilitate shared ministry opportunities.
Can you commit to volunteering 90 minutes in 90 days? Need help figuring out where you want to lend your efforts? Connections Expos happen three times a year! These expos allow you to learn about organizations and ministries which can connect you with opportunities to serve, learn, or advocate.

UPCOMING 2008 90 IN 90 THEMES:
Our Health, Our World, Our People
Feb. 3-April 20
“We marshal our resources for the healing of those around the corner and around the world living with diseases of poverty.” The initial cycle, Our Health, Our World, Our People, will provide opportunities to examine both diseases of poverty and ‘reaching the children’— locally, nationally, and internationally.
Creating Community
June 1-Aug. 24
“We serve the last, the least, and the lost inside the church and outside our walls.” TIME leadership envisions Creating Community as a time to examine not only internal opportunities for service—recruitment of church school teacher, Stephen’s Ministers, School 20 volunteers, etc; but, also as a time to provide ‘inclusion’/volunteer opportunities, especially in our local community. One proposed activity would be something akin to a community ‘cultural fair’’ sponsored and hosted by St. Lukes.
Love, Serve, and Care for One Another… Everyday…
Sept. 14-Dec. 7
“Together and apart, we embrace our congregation’s mission in a real way, every single day.” The last proposed cycle, Love, Serve, and Care for One Another… Everyday…. provides 13 different, unique, finite, and measurable opportunities for the congregation to be in service—and an opportunity to focus on both the “E”veryday call to servant ministry; but, also a unique opportunity to examine what it means to live the St. Lukes mission statement. This cycle, as currently envisioned, would be a departure from the Connections Expo, for this specific 90 days.
