World Missions
St. Luke's World Missions seeks to "serve God's people beyond the Indianapolis community through gifts, talents and service, demonstrating God's love to the world." Each year, at their own expense, "missionaries" from St. Luke's travel the United States and the world building and repairing homes, churches, parsonages and community buildings.
St. Luke's volunteers also work with Habitat for Humanity in building new communities for persons who might not otherwise own a home. Annually, nearly $25,000 is distributed through St. Luke's World Missions outreach.
St. Luke's also supports the needs of people throughout the world and the larger church community with its financial gifts to the South Indiana Conference of the Methodist Church. Apportionments of over $350,000 are sent to the South Indiana Conference where the funds are then redistrbuted to global mission needs and programs sponsored by the United Methodist Church.
Whether it's working in Kentucky or South Dakota, Haiti or Sierra Leone, the people of St. Luke's are dedicated to serving wherever there is a need.
