We thank God for the gift of love and especially for the love you and your partner feel for each other. Our prayer is that your love, your relationship and your committment will grow deeper as time goes by.
Marriage is one of the most important commitments made in a lifetime, and commitment is what turns potential into reality. It is your decision to share life with someone you love. In Christian marriage, when you make a covenant with someone, God is a partner in the promise you make before your family and friends. Your wedding marks the beginning of building a good marriage and is one of the special moments in your life. The ministers, staff and congregation of St. Luke's United Methodist Church are pleased and honored to be a part of this important event.
Preparing for Marriage
St. Luke's offers a Premarriage Seminar four times each year. Engaged couples or couples married less than six months are strongly encouraged to attend.
Scheduling Your Wedding
To schedule your wedding date at St. Luke's contact our Wedding Coordinator, Carol Helmus.
Baptisms

The baptism experience is one of community in which the parents and congregation alike covenant with God to raise these children in an atmosphere of love and faith. Baptisms (two per service) will be scheduled on the third, fourth and fifth Sundays of the month, and parents must attend an orientation class in order to sign up for their child's baptism. The next available class will be held Sunday, May 6, 9:30-10:30AM.
Every family receives a calligraphic certificate of baptism and a picture with clergy to commemorate this special day. In addition, loved ones who live too far away to travel here for the baptism are able to watch it live on our Sunday morning videostreaming.
Please contact Kristi Chamberlain, Interim Baptism Coordinator for Infants and Children, for questions or to arrange for your child's baptism.
Funerals and Death of a Loved One

Following the death of a loved one, St. Luke's strives to help each family with a service of celebration. All of our pastors are willing to go to area funeral homes to conduct the service. If the family requests that the service be held at St. Luke's, a staff member will work with them and the funeral home of their choice. For further information, please contact our Director of Care Ministries, Mary Katherine Schnitz.
St. Luke's also has a Columbarium on site. Located in a secluded spot just outside the main doors, this location is available for placement of ashes for those who wish to have their remains placed on the church premises. A brochure, Columbarium Rules and Columbarium Application Forms may be viewed and downloaded, or contact Julia Johnson, Executive Director of Ministries.
