Carillon Bells Ringing

Daughters of the American Revolution (Caroline Scott Harrison Chapter) have goals of education, patriotism, and  history.  The DAR petitioned Congress to set aside a week to celebrate the signing of the Constitution which Congress passed into legislation in 1956. Constitution Week is September 17-23. On Wednesday September 17 at 4 pm St. Luke's Bells will ring out for one minute to commemorate the signing of the U.S. Constitution in Philadelphia at 4 pm on September 17, 1787.  Our ringing of the bells is part of Bells Across America.  St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church downtown and Marian University will be ringing their bells also.
