David Williamson could not be more surprised – or pleased – at where God’s path has led him thus far in his life.

Graduating with an Art degree from Davidson College in 1998, David attended Duke Divinity School with no specific ministry path in mind, just a desire to serve God.  Through his work as a pediatric chaplain and with special needs kids, however, David realized he wanted to work with children and families.  David and his wife, Jamalyn, spent two years in Haiti working as Family Health Ministries missionaries.  His experiences there, especially working one on one with orphans, had a profound impact on David's life.  Upon their return, David was appointed to Milroy United Methodist Church (Milroy, Indiana) in 2005.  During his time there, a strong contingency of young families began attending that church, and having an impact on their community.

David was born in Paducah, Kentucky and raised in Brownsville, Tennessee.  He will watch “just about any kind of sports,” making him a natural for leading the Men’s Ministry at St. Luke’s.  David and Jamalyn (also a St. Luke’s pastor) and their two children (Margaret and Nathan) joined the St. Luke’s staff on January 1, 2010.  David is a full-time Associate Pastor of Family and Men’s Ministries.
