Next Steps

Spiritual growth is a lifelong commitment.

Once we begin the journey, it’s only normal to think, “What’s next?” We would love to be a part of helping you find a spiritual path forward that works for you. Let's take this journey together...here are your next steps.

Church Tour Dates

Join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of St. Luke's. Meet at Door 6 at 6:30PM on any of these dates in 2023: 2/7, 4/25, 6/13, 8/29, 11/7.

Registration for the upcoming church tour will open soon.

STEP 1: Starting Point

Starting Point is a 30-minute orientation to St. Luke’s. You’ll meet others who are new and leave with a next step to help you find your place within the church. This is a great way to become familiar with who we are and how we live out our faith. No registration is needed for the in-person classes at the N. Indy Campus. Just show up! We can't wait to meet you!

STEP 2: STEPS Groups

Are you looking to connect with others at St. Luke’s and grow in your faith? One of the best ways to do that is to join a STEPS Group. Steps is a 6-week small group experience that will help you see your own faith story, understand how we live out our Christian faith at St. Luke's, and find ways to grow in your faith in this church community. You discover answers to questions like: Who is Jesus? Why is my faith important? What is Biblical justice? And more! There are groups for all ages and stages of life, and there are online and in-person options.

STEP 3: Exploring Membership

The Exploring Membership Class will help you learn more about the United Methodist Church and the process for formally joining St. Luke's. Here you'll learn more about who we are, our beliefs, and our mission to be an affirming community of Christians helping people find and give hope through Jesus Christ - regardless of their gender, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, nationality, disability, or socioeconomic background. You'll also get to hear the story of our church and discuss what it means to be a member of this local congregation through serving, growing in your faith journey, moving toward generosity, and more. If you're attending in person, we will provide lunch and childcare is available. Please note childcare needs on the registration form.
