New Adult Classes Beginning Soon
Option one: Join a Small Group
The purpose of the Small Group is to make new friends and have a fun, inspiring opportunity for Christian discussion. Small Groups meet weekly (for a total of five or seven meetings) to discuss curriculum chosen by the group. For more information see the Small Groups tab above!
Option Two: Take a Class
There are classes on topics such as:
Forgiveness, The Shack, Series 33: Authentic Manhood, The King's English and several others. Open the Sunday AM, Wed PM or During the Week tabs for a complete listing. Registration is required for some classes; childcare is available for all classes that meet on Sunday Mornings and Wednesday evenings. Books are only required if indicated in the course description.
Option Three: Attend a Special Event
United Methodist Men National Gathering - July 7 - 8
Men at St. Luke's are leaders - whether at work, at home or at church, we are seeking to live life with purpose and so we are proud to host men from around the nation for a day and a half of learning about how following Christ stretches us - at times feeling like a contact sport. Option Four: Exciting Learning Events
OBAT Helpers Iftar Dinner - Sunday, June 4, 8 - 10PM, Great Hall
You are invited to share in the "Breaking of the Fast" (Ramadan) at sun down with a wonderful Middle Eastern dinner to learn about your Muslim neighbors. Registration required on Eventbrite. $20
Summer Celebration - Wednseday, June 21, 7:30 - 9PM, Daylilly Labyrinth
Bring your lawn chair, drum, flute, singing bowl or any other musical instrument and enjoy the summer evening and a chance to walk our outdoor labyrinth while it is in full bloom (pollen might leave stains on clothing). Park at Luke's Lodge in back parking lot, walk around the building, down the stairs and across the bridge to the neighborhood behind St. Luke's campus.
Meditate on the music of Carrie Newcomer - Saturday, July 15, 9:30 - 11AM, Parlor
Led by Sayuri Guelce, musician and co-chair of Interfaith Relationship Committee. Experience the music (with images) of Carrie Newcomer via video, relax and contemplate her message and how it speaks to you. Carrie will be at St. Luke's on Friday, October 6. Registration is required. No fee.
