New Pastors Announced
It is exciting to announce that Rev. Regina Proctor will be our new Pastor of Congregational Care beginning June 24. She currently holds that position at Franklin First UMC, a 3,700 member congregation in Franklin, TN and she will be a fabulous asset to our pastoral team!
She has the gifts, personality, and leadership skills that will be a fantastic fit at St. Luke’s and will add much to our staff. Regina is an Indiana native who still owns a family farm in New Albany. Coming back to Indiana has been an aspiration for her and her husband Rick. Regina is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University and Vanderbilt University Divinity School. She is also a certified Spiritual Director and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Ministry with a focus on prayer at Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary. Regina served as Chaplain for Vanderbilt Medical Center and Monroe Carell, Jr. Children’s Hospital before returning to the local church.
Regina loves the open, inclusive spirit of St. Luke’s and is excited about sharing her gifts of care and spiritual nurturing. Her husband Rick works for Harper Collins Christian Publishers and will stay for a while to wrap up family business in Nashville. In the meantime Regina has secured housing right next door in Lionsgate. She and Rick have two sons; Ethan currently attends Columbia State College and Henry is a senior in high school and will play football at Sewanee – The University of the South this fall. The Proctor’s also have a dog named Teddy.
Work, vegetarian cooking, collecting art, Zumba and being with family are all things that she enjoys. Her favorite movie is “The Sound of Music” and her favorite place to be is near the coast. She also loves motorcycles and… prayer!
If you would like to welcome Regina, you may contact her by email at or you can send her a note at 849 Stirrup Drive, Nashville, TN 37221.
We are also excited to announce the addition of Revs. Jevon and Nicole Caldwell-Gross to our staff this summer. Nicole will be our Pastor of Missions and Jevon will be a Teaching Pastor, focusing on family ministry.
Jevon and Nicole are both natives of Detroit, Michigan. Jevon graduated from Kalamazoo College where he played basketball and Nicole attended Mt. Holyoke College in Massachusetts where she received her call to ministry. They both attended Princeton Seminary. Currently Nicole is the Director of Mission and Community Development for the New Jersey Conference of the United Methodist Church providing missional oversight for the 550 congregations in that region. Jevon is the pastor of The Mark – St. Mark’s United Methodist Church in Montclair, NJ, where the church has grown by 40% under his leadership. He also serves on the local school board.
As a Pastor who enjoys dancing, laughing, and enjoying family, Jevon strongly believes that the body of Christ must be a place that values authenticity. He continues to encourage and challenge congregations to be open to God's next move. He is approachable, relevant and passionate about God's movement in the world.
Nicole brings a humble spirit, a sincere passion for women and youth and an active hope for the next generation to her ministry. Through her preaching and teaching she hopes to increase biblical literacy, engage the churched and unchurched and present dynamic opportunities for spiritual growth.
Jevon and Nicole have three children: Joshua Alexander, Olivia Grace and Isabella Joy and we look forward to introducing the whole family to you in person when they arrive! Jevon and Nicole will be strong assets to our pastoral team.
