We offer a variety of options on Sunday mornings to help youth connect with their age group. Our earlier programming attracts a larger group of students, so it is the high-energy option. For those who prefer a quieter and more reflective (but still fun) time on Sunday mornings, our 11AM options might be the choice.

    7th Grade Confirmation

We would like to invite your teen to consider joining our next Confirmation class this coming fall at 9:30AM. Confirmation will begin August 12th and meet most Sundays during the school year in the Great Hall until the Confirmation service on April 28th, 2019. There will be two retreats as an important part of the Confirmation experience: September 14-16 and April 26-27th. We hope you will mark your calendars with these two retreats for now, with more information coming later. We understand that this is a big decision, so we invite you to our Open House on August 12th beginning at 10:40 in the Great Hall. At this time we’ll provide materials outlining the Confirmation Program in its entirety.

    Contact Heather with questions.

    Mission Statement

The High School Ministry at St. Luke's UMC partners with families in the spiritual formation of high school students. The aim is for students to grow to love God, love others, and love themselves. Our hope is that they will be transformed by the Gospel, engaged in meaningful faith-forming relationships, activated as change-agents in their communities, and developed into spiritual leaders.

    Values

    Connection
Students will form meaningful, faith-forming connections with their peers and small group leaders.
    Ownership
Students will begin to take ownership over their faith, the Church, and their communities.
    Discovery
Students will discover more about who God is, who they are, and where they belong.

If you have questions, please contact Travis Bannon.

    11:00 Service

We encourage all of our high school students to go to the 11:00 service to experience worship with each other and with their families.

We will have a few small group opportunities after the service so that they can discuss the message. This helps our students connect to “big church” and discuss the same things their families are discussing.

Special Needs

St. Luke’s is committed to being an inclusive Youth ministry for all families. We want our worship time, activities and retreats to be meaningful and fun for all Youth. Please let us know how we can best serve your family.
