A Word Before You Begin
You are part of something sacred.
St. Luke's United Methodist Church has been on a journey of succession — prayerfully planning for the future of our congregation and the leadership that will carry us forward. That journey continues here, and we want you to be a part of it.
Over the next eight weeks, we invite you to set aside a few quiet moments each week to reflect on a single question. Each reflection is submitted anonymously and will be gathered and shared with the succession team as we discern together what God is calling St. Luke's to become.
Whether you've been a member for decades or you're joining us for the first time, your voice matters here. This is a spiritual practice open to all — a chance to deepen your relationship with God and to contribute to the future of this community.
Week 1 of 8
This Week's Reflection
The story of Jesus on the road to Emmaus reminds us that sometimes Jesus is revealed to us, not in an instant, but over time as we encounter him.
This week, create space (about 10-15 minutes each day) to encounter Jesus through silence and prayer. Approach this time without agenda or hurry. Instead, bring an open spirit that can receive whatever it is that Jesus might want you to see more clearly.
What might Jesus be saying to you?
