Pastor Rob Fuquay was appointed the fifth senior pastor of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in 2011. Rob has led growing congregations in a variety of settings for several decades. Before moving to Indianapolis, Rob was the senior pastor of Williamson’s Chapel UMC in Mooresville, NC.
Rob graduated from Pfeiffer College (now Pfeiffer University), in 1984, with a B.A. in Religion, and Candler School of Theology, Emory University, in 1987, with a M.Div. degree.
Rob has written The God We Can Know, a 7-week study designed for the entire congregation to explore the “I Am” sayings of Jesus found in the Gospel of John. And more recently he wrote the book, Take the Flag, Following God’s Signals in the Race of Your Life, which finds symbolism in NASCAR’s racing flags and applies them on the course of your faith journey.
Rob and his wife, Susan, have three daughters: Julie, Sarah and Anna. He loves the mountains, hiking, playing golf, attending his daughters’ activities, exercising, traveling, and watching college basketball (yes, both Duke AND Butler!).
Eric joins the staff from Nashville, Tenn., where he attended Vanderbilt Divinity School, and helped launch a small group ministry for a large United Methodist congregation. You'll know Eric when you see him. He's the tall guy in the bow tie. He really likes coffee.
This Michigan native and Ivy Leaguer is happy to be back in the Midwest and working side-by-side with his wife in ministry. With three young children, he is looking forward to working with families at various milestone events so that deep connections are encouraged and strengthened within our congregation!
Pam has enjoyed bookkeeping since high school. Having worked in church accounting for much of the past 12 years, following a brief time in public accounting Pam is glad to be back helping those who serve others and the community. When she's not busy with accounting, Pam spends her free time watching detective dramas, listening to music, and enjoying time with her grand dog.
Born and raised in Dallas with 5 siblings, Sarah graduated from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies (Special Education). She will gladly show you pics of her cat, Charles, if you ask and has a collection of unique coffee mugs to help her facilitate her love of coffee. This girl has also been to the pyramids at Giza twice and can probably sing any Disney princess song on command!
Chef Joseph learned his craft from his mother as a child and his passion for food and hospitality has grown with the years. His coat of many colors includes husband, father, pastor, teacher, world traveler, camper and chef. Yum, yum is the word on the street - taste and you will agree!
Originally from Columbus, IN, David moved to Indianapolis in 1991 and attended the University of Indianapolis. He spent twenty-six years in law enforcement, retiring with the rank of Chief. David also owned and operated a successful security and alarm company for many years which he sold in 2012. His hobbies include flying and SCUBA diving.
Heidi has become new Small Group after being a stay-at-home for to her 3 kids for many years. She has 10 years of Disciple Bible Study experience, 5 years of which she has led a group. She is looking forward to working with and learning from the Adult Discipleship team.
Amy and her husband, Brent, were born and raised in Indiana. They live in Fishers with their daughters, Mya and Mina, and dogs, Porkchop and Piper. Prior to joining the team at St. Luke's, Amy served as the Faith Development Director and Children's Pastor at White River Christian Church in Noblesville, the NextGen Pastor at Verve Church in Las Vegas, and the Director of Kids Ministry at Grace Church in Noblesville. She earned a BS in Early Childhood Education from the University of Michigan.
Crystal is passionate about advocating for individuals with disabilities and their families. She holds a bachelors degree in elementary education and special education, as well as a masters in applied behavior analysis with an emphasis in autism. Crystal taught in the public schools and worked in private ABA therapy before coming to ministry. She enjoys family time with her husband and two kids, outdoor adventures, triathlons, wholesome food, and a good cup of tea.
Natalie grew up in Muncie, attended Ball State, earning her degree in Elementary and Special Education. She moved to Indy in 2007 where she met my husband, Matt. Running a daycare in her home allows her to be home with her 4 and 6 year old daughters. The rare moments she is not caring for children, you can find watching medical dramas or Friends on TV.
Betsy is passionate about blending her work talents with her faith. She grew up in Indianapolis where church was her second home. With a degree in Graphic Design, Betsy works full-time at Butler University, in addition to designing for St Luke’s. She has a God-given talent of visually communicating.
Jenna was born and raised in Indiana. She has been attending St. Luke’s with her husband and now their two young kids for the last 7 years. As our Social Media Manager, Jenna helps us build community online. When she’s not working, you can find her exploring Indianapolis with her kids.
Deleath has a passion for welcoming guests to St. Luke's and helping them find their place within our community. If your favorite color is yellow, she wants to talk to YOU! She and her husband are blessed to have their grown children living nearby, but are extra blessed by the presence of their nearby grandchildren!
A Miami University grad, Karen joins the staff of St. Luke's with over 15 years of elementary education experience and over 30 years of involvement in various music activities. She is a wife and mother of 3 strong-willed daughters and a very energetic dog. IKEA is her happy place and she is affectionately known to her friends and family as the "Dancing Queen!"
Shelby comes to St. Luke’s with a background in corporate, entertainment, and worship audio visual work. Shelby was born and raised in Indianapolis and returned home after receiving their Bachelor of Science degree in Audio Engineering from Greenville College in Illinois. Shelby is a proud dog parent to their lab mix Loki and is a Lego enthusiast. Shelby is excited to create a technically seamless worship experience for the St. Luke’s congregation, both online and in person.
Born and raised in Indianapolis and the United Methodist Church, Donita is a Developmental Play Therapist and has always been involved in church music, including playing with Wesleyan Ringers for over 10 years. She really enjoys the kids and families and looks forward to a second secret career as an aeronautical engineer and solving the world peace issue. She also has a vivid imagination!
Emory comes from Knoxville, TN, and has been singing for as long as he can remember. He is gospel raised, classically trained, and driven by a desire to witness the power and miracles of Jesus Christ, especially through music, to all who will listen. When he's not singing or reading, he's exploring the city and laughing with his wife, Crystal, and their son, Braylin. Emory is excited to become a Hoosier, but even more excited to join the St. Luke's family.
Heather's hope is that every student can find a safe and fun environment at St. Luke's where they can grow in friendship with God and one another. The most important people who make this ministry happen are our passionate volunteer leaders! Heather loves to talk about her one-eyed cat, her husband, and her hometown of St. Louis.
Jada comes to us from the Denver metro area of Colorado, and is excited to be a part of St. Luke's. When not at work, you can probably find her at a coffee shop somewhere in the city, working on either her blog or a new song she's producing.
