25 Books Every Christian Should Read (Evening)
Type: Book Study
Well-known Christian contemplatives have compiled a list of 25 influential, classical, pivotal books for Christian discipleship. Points addressed for each book include: overview, why it is a classic, a study guide and more. At each meeting, the class discusses a different book. The group has already read many classics including The Interior Castle (St. Teresa of Avila), Dark Night of the Soul (St. John of the Cross), Pensées (Blaise Pascal), The Pilgrim’s Progress (John Bunyan) and The Brothers Karamazov (Fyodor Dostoevsky). This September we will begin with Mary Oliver’s poems, Discipleship (Dietrich Bonhoffer), and A Testament of Devotion (Thomas Kelly). Please join us at any point and come for whichever books are of interest to you. Text book in Connections bookstore. In homes Tuesday or Thursday Evenings.
