Last winter, a family overwhelmed by circumstances entered our church doors, needing rent support to avoid eviction. The father had suffered a workplace accident that shattered part of his foot, leaving him unable to work and in constant pain. Because he was a contractor, he lost his job.
Through the compassionate care of our Outreach & Justice team, we provided rent assistance, grocery gift cards, and connected them with ongoing support—including our food pantry, Angel Tree, and Back to School Bash. Thanks to generous donors, St. Luke's supported this family with several months of rent and utility assistance throughout the year.
"This is one example of people of all ages finding hope on this campus—whether in worship, preschool, support groups, classes, or a variety of programs. The North Indy campus is a building that never sleeps; community is always gathering and through it, hope always rises."
