Holy Thursday is also referred to as Maundy Thursday. Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter and is celebrated in commemoration of the Last Supper. The word "maundy" is derived from the Latin word for command, and is a reference to Jesus' commandment to the disciples to "love one another as I have loved you." We will celebrate Holy Communion in this service as we honor Jesus' life and sacrifice. We invite you to join us in taking Communion at home during the service. Learn more at stlukesumc.com/easter.
