Family Friday

On October 25th, the Kids and Student Ministries are hosting a Family Friday with something engaging for the whole family. There are three events in one evening: a Technology and Parenting Workshop, a Middle School Invite Night Halloween Party, and a Kid's Night In Pajama Party! All three events run 6:30-9:00pm and are completely free. Please see descriptions for each below and know that you can signup for any combination of the three.

Technology and Parenting Workshop

Lindsay Kusy, LMHC, CCTP, CCFP, CAGCS address the Technology use from a mental health perspective. She discusses what a healthy relationship with technology looks like for students and adults. She also addresses how we can best support our kids in finding a healthy connection with their screens and devices (and reduce the conflict between parent and student).

The attendees of this presentation will understand the development of the adolescent brain, what technology is doing in the brain, the correlation between gaming and mental health, the correlation between social media and mental health, and finally how to create a healthy technology plan with your youth.

 Attendees will participate in a lecture for around 45 minutes and then be equipped to use the rest of the time to create a family plan. Parents can go out on their own date night, stay onsite for group discussion, or join a group at a local restaurant to discuss together.

 Middle School Invite Night Halloween Party

Students in grades 5-8th are invited to our MS Invite Night - Halloween Party! We will have a super fun evening doing all kinds of fall/Halloween themed activities: hay ride, pumpkin painting, costume contest, eating Halloween candy, and so much more. The evening will also include an encouraging message aimed at our youth. Halloween Costumes are encouraged, but not required!

Kid's Night In Pajama Party

Bring your kid(s) to church in their pj's and while you're out, your kids will be having fun, playing games, making crafts, and more. This is for Infants - 4th graders! So, no matter who you are, how many kids live in your house, this is for you!

Glow Sunday

Join us on Sunday, October 27th for a very special Kids Church at 9:30 and 11:00 services at both North Indy and Midtown locations!  We will be celebrating our theme for the month, which is all about how we can "Live Bright" by shining God's light!  Kids are invited to wear white or neon clothing.  

Baptisms

We are thrilled to invite you to join our upcoming baptismal class—a meaningful journey that marks the beginning of a spiritual foundation for your child. Hosted by Pastor Mindie and Kids Ministry Director Amy Boles, this class is designed to guide you through the significance of baptism and its role in your family's faith journey.

Why Attend the Baptismal Class?

Understanding the Sacrament: Gain insights into the sacrament of baptism, its history, and its importance in the Christian faith. 

Community Connection: Connect with other families who, like you, are embarking on this sacred journey. Share experiences, build friendships, and support one another.

Preparation for the Ceremony: Learn about the practical aspects of the baptismal ceremony, including traditions, rituals, and the involvement of family and friends.
