Our summer in Student Ministry is some of the most impactful and hopeful experiences of the year. Last week, 68 middle school students joined us for Middle School Mayhem. We talked about how our relationships with God feed our relationships with others, the world, and ourselves. Students spent the week learning, serving at various partners, and having a blast together.  

This week we have been at high school camp at Epworth Forest. I’m watching students connect deeply to God and their peers, share openly about their doubts and faith, ask big questions, let some of their stressors from home go for a bit, and have some fun.  

Very few things bring me hope like watching teens and pre-teens loving God and loving others. The students in our ministry give me so many reasons to have hope in our future. God is surely present in and with them in unique and powerful ways. We appreciate your prayers as we continue our summer with a mission trip to Charlotte, NC in July!
